What happens if you forget to exfoliate before you put tanning lotion on?

I NEED TO KNOWWWW HAHAWhat happens if you forget to exfoliate before you put tanning lotion on?
it will make it MORE EVEN!!


Your SUPPOSED to exfoliate prior to applying tanning lotion because it removes the dead skin build up that blocks UV light which causes blotchiness and a short lasting tan.








and to correct the others above, even if it was a self tanner, you have to exfoliate because the dead skin will cause the color to stick and look REALLY dark.





Think about it, its like sound paper removing the uneven dead skin, you dont want dead skin, you need to get rid of it, regardless of if its visible to the naked eye or not. Geeze..What happens if you forget to exfoliate before you put tanning lotion on?
If you are talking about a self (at home) tanner, it can be bad. You will look orange and it might be streaky. Where as, some parts of you will be darker than other parts.





If you mean a tanning lotion that you use in a tanning bed, nothing will happen. There will not be any bad color reactions. It will be fine.
