What is a good way to exfoliate flaky skin on my face?

I've been using a acne medication for awhile and my face gets really dry and flaky, i will use a washcloth softly to exfoliate but it really doesn't do too much. Do you have any suggestions that would help to exfoliate or get rid of flaky skin? What is a good way to exfoliate flaky skin on my face?
use the st. ives apricot scrub

its inexpensive, not too harsh on your skin, and smells good.

good luck! What is a good way to exfoliate flaky skin on my face?
St. Ives works to remove dead skin, but apricot kernels can rip pores, leaving them open to infection. Try and go for smooth, round beads.

I've found that using Vaseline at night makes the flakes go away. Be gentle with your skin - scrubs can irritate and make acne WORSE. Hope this helps! Report Abuse

instead of exfoliating you need to moisturize your face with some face cream if you exfoliate your face it will just dry it out more good luck
Maybe a Buff Puff?Walgreens has a generic version much cheaper.
The salicylic (sp?) acids and benzoyl peroxides in most acne medications can burn and irritate the skin over tiem with continued use.

Alternate the acne medication with a good cleanser with AHA and BHA acids (alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy). One will serve to remove the flaky ness, smooth out your skin. THe other helps your skin thin out and therby beter utilize moisture and maintain skin tone. You will ntoice a reduction in fine lines, redness and softer skin in a few weeks.

Alternating your products, but using the entire line with each use i.e: cleanser, toner, moisturizer will help alleviate the irritation and maintain healthy breakout free skin.
Instructions:

1. Place face on cement.

2. Rub face forcefully against the grain.
